    Officials: Fireworks caused Wharton State Forest wildfire

    New Jersey Forest Fire Service officials said Sunday that fireworks caused the Tea Time Hill wildfire in Wharton State Forest near the Batona Campground and Apple Pie Hill.

    Officials say a fireworks device was lit inside the forest and ignited the fire late Thursday. The Apple Pie Hill Fire Tower discovered the fire at 9 a.m. Friday.
