WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — We will have mostly sunny skies across Texoma with a handful of cumulus clouds expected to develop during the afternoon. Temperatures will stay at or slightly below normal to finish up the workweek and head into the weekend. Winds will generally stay light and variable into the weekend, but those winds will start to increase this weekend as wind gust could reach up to 25 MPH at times.

This weekend, winds will start to increase out of the south. That will start to heat up the region as afternoon highs climb up into the triple digits will ample sunshine. Breezy winds will continue into the afternoon and evening hours on Sunday leading into the start of next week with breezy conditions during the late morning and afternoon hours.

Next week, triple digits return to Texoma as afternoon highs reach back up into the low 100s for the end of July and leading into the start of August. Dog days of summer persist with little to no significant rain or cooldown expected for the next seven days.
