Griswold School Board Approves Board Policies Along with Changes
(Griswold) The Griswold School Board passed the first reading of a series of board policies, including numerous changes. Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs says one of those changes concerns weapons. He says schools can now allow staff members to carry weapons on district property if they have received the proper training. The Griswold School Board voted not to allow staff members to carry weapons in school.
Pymosa Lodge Masons award scholarships
(Atlantic, Iowa) – Masonic Pymosa Lodge Number 271 AF & AM recently held an evening meal for the 2024 Scholarship recipients and their families. Lodge officials say 2024 Scholarships were presented to graduating Seniors from Atlantic and CAM high Schools. Obedience Lodge No 380 in Anita merged with Pymosa Lodge in 2023.
AC/GC School Board Meeting Tonight
The Adair – Casey (AC) and Guthrie Center (GC) School Boards will meet in regular joint session tonight. The Boards will consider for approval the second semester invoice for whole grade sharing, the Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) 2025 legislative priorities, 2024-25 student registration fees, meal prices and student/parent handbooks. They will also consider for approval the substitute pay rate, employee handbooks, first readings of the IASB policy primer update and Title IX policy update, along with a policy update to the district handbook.
