SUMRALL, Miss. ( WHLT ) – People across the Pine Belt are still reeling after Monday’s severe storms. One Sumrall family needs help after a tree fell on their home.

Yolanda Coulter and her family said they’re lucky to be alive.

“There were pictures going off the wall. I mean, windows bursting and the tin on the trailer was was rattling,” she said.

The high winds broke off a large part of a cedar tree in her front yard, sending it crashing into the mobile home.

“We had no time to get anywhere. We were in the living room and we just hit the floor,” Coulter stated.

She said the roof needs to be replaced, and she’s not sure if the home will be salvageable.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family.
