Busy ramp in Trumbull County to close and other changes

HOWLAND TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – A busy ramp in Howland is closing Wednesday.

The ramp from State Route 82 east to State Route 46 north will be closed beginning Aug. 28 and remain closed through late spring 2025.

The detour will be SR 82 east to SR 193 to SR 82 west to SR 46.

Beginning, Sept. 3, State Route 46 northbound and southbound under State Route 82 will be subject to 15-minute periods of stopped traffic through Friday, Sept. 6 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to place bridge beams.

Then on Wednesday, Sept. 4 through Friday, Sept. 6, the ramp from State Route 46 south to State Route 82 east will closed for bridge beam replacement.

The detour will be SR 46 south to SR 82 west to Elm Rd. to SR 82 east.

The work is part of the diverging diamond project in Howland which is expected to be done by the summer of 2026.
