Kinston Police searching for suspect after armed robbery at gas station

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — On Thursday morning, officers from the Kinston Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery on W Vernon Avenue.

When they arrived, officers saw the victim who reported an unidentified male entered the store, pulled out a firearm and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Kinston Police Department investigators are actively following up on leads and are in the works of identifying the suspect.
