CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – The Manna Meal soup kitchen is going mobile.

Executive Director Amy Wolfe said the organization will move its kitchen from the St. Johns Episcopal Church to mobile food trucks.

Manna Meal will continue to provide indoor dining at the Garnet Career Center location, where they have been serving meals since December.

According to Wolfe, Manna Meal’s lease with St. Johns expires on Dec. 31, and negotiations between the parties have stalled. Manna Meal has been searching for a new location for dining and cooking, but Wolfe said that search was to no avail.

“The overwhelming response we were getting is a place to cook is okay, so we’re shifting to that. We’re looking for a new home for a kitchen,” Wolfe said.

Manna Meal has ordered two new trucks where they will prepare and store meals. Wolfe expects them to roll out by the end of the year.
