BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Community leaders gathered in Bedford County Friday to learn about the state’s small games of chance laws and guidelines for non-profit fundraising.

Nearly 100 people from 45 organizations attended the event organized by the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce. Officers from the Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Control Bureau outlined licensing and requirements for events like bingo and raffles using small games of chance resources.

“We want to make sure that we’re doing everything we’re supposed to be doing legally with our raffles and our events because that’s where we make money. So, it’s better to understand the rules and tonight’s training was amazing for that,” Bedford County United Way Executive Director Katie Fink said.

The training was the third Bedford County Chamber event this year in an educational series supporting the non-profit community.
