Get Ready to Soak Up the Fun and Flavors at the 28th Annual Chef’s Auction

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — After all of the rainy, gloomy weather we’ve had over the past few weeks, the thought of a beautiful sun-soaked beach could be just what the doctor ordered.

Now you can have that experience right here in the Friendly City, well, almost.

Back to the Beach is the theme for the 28th Annual Chef’s Auction.

It will take place on Thursday, May 2nd, at Wes Banco Arena.

You can choose from a number of delectable delights from as many as 15 of the area’s top chefs.

While it promises to be a fun night, it’s also a crucial fundraiser for the Wheeling Health Rite.

The organization provides medical care for over 27,000 people across the Ohio Valley, and officials say the need is growing g every year.

We are seeing a massive number of uninsured come in now. we are seeing three patients every day for three providers. Because there are so many people that have lost there Medicare or lost their insurance. So the need is there and the community has always stepped up and I’m just greatful and hopefull that they will do that again this year.

This year’s event will once again feature various auctions, live entertainment, a wine and bourbon pull, and some fire and hula dancers on hand.

Definitely an entertaining evening you don’t want to miss.
