    Sycamores come up short against Panthers, fall to 0-2

    CHARLESTON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Eastern Illinois Panthers defeated the Indiana State Sycamores 27-20 on Saturday night.

    ISU Redshirt Freshman quarterback Elijah Owens completed 30 of 37 for 260 yards with 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.

    Defensively, Maddix Blackwell got his first interception of the season and Geoffrey Brown led the way with 9 tackles.

    The Sycamores (0-2) will host Dayton for their home opener at Memorial Stadium next Saturday.
