Only two quarterbacks have ever beaten Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs — Tom Brady and Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow.

Not only does Burrow boast a postseason win over Mahomes, but he’s 3-1 against the two-time NFL MVP in his career and his .750 win percentage against him is better than any of the other top QBs in the AFC (Buffalo’s Josh Allen, Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson, Los Angeles’ Justin Herbert).

During a recent interview with Kay Adams on FanDuel’s “Up & Adams,” Burrow admitted that he enjoys playing Mahomes because it forces him to take his game to a different level.

“I think you got to go out and not be scared to make mistakes,” Burrow said about facing Mahomes. “You got to go out and make plays because you know he's going to go out and make plays, and that brings out the best in me. It's always an exciting challenge when we go against each other. It’s an opportunity when you go against him too because you know all eyes are going to be on [you].”

In those four games head-to-head against Mahomes, Burrow has completed 69.8% of his passes (104-149) for 1,252 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions, and he’s rushed 25 times for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Burrow’s touchdown percentage (6%) is higher against the Chiefs than his career average (5.1%), as is his passer rating (107 against the Chiefs, 98.6 against everyone else), and he converts more third downs and creates more explosive plays against Kansas City than any other opponent, per CBS Sports .

“When you know each other in and out like that, it makes for a tough game, that’s for sure,” Burrow added.
