Property sales, water and sewer rates on Shen council agenda
(Shenandoah) -- Shenandoah's City Council has a full agenda ahead of it tonight. At its regular meeting at 6 p.m. at Shenandoah City Hall, the council holds public hearings on sales of city-owned properties. City officials propose selling 809 5th Avenue to Hannah Rief for $2,576, 706 9th Avenue to Brian Palmer for $2,000, 301 College Street to Nathan Priest for $400, and properties at 1115 and 1117 West Lowell Avenue to Pierre Taylor for $20. The city also wants to sell 604 Palm Avenue to Ron LaRock for $2,000. Speaking on a recent edition of KMA's "Morning Line" program, Shenandoah Mayor Roger McQueen says it's senseless for the city to continue owning these properties.
