This RAGBRAI rider wants his daughters to join him so much he put a condition in his will
RED OAK — Rich Stevens is hoping that if there's a will, there's a way he can get his daughters to join him on RAGBRAI — literally. Stevens has had a 29-year love affair with the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa and he wants to share it with his daughters, age 31 and 14.
Good deeds on RAGBRAI might result in being 'ducked' by Colorado rider
RED OAK — Riders getting caught doing nice things on RAGBRAI run the risk of getting “ducked” — because Elizabeth Sugar Boese is on the lookout. Armed with 300 rubber ducks she had originally planned to sell during the ride, Boese decided instead to give the ducks out when she sees people doing something nice for others along the route.
RAGBRAI rides through Glenwood, Red Oak
(Red Oak) -- Cyclists from across the country and the globe began the over 460-mile trek of RAGBRAI Sunday. After kicking off with an expo in Glenwood Saturday, tens of thousands of cyclists made their way across Mills County and began filing into Red Oak Sunday afternoon and evening for the 51st Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa. Tents, trailers, and trucks packed into the Red Oak Junior-Senior High and Inman Elementary grounds, public parks, and host family's yards and homes. KMA News had a chance to catch up with some riders, including first-timers such as Al West from northwest Missouri. A veteran cyclist, West says he has usually preferred riding solo or with smaller groups. But, he says the first day went well in the jam-packed event.

(Clarinda) -- The Clarinda A’s open MINK League postseason play later Tuesday night. The A’s garnered the No. 2 seed in the playoffs, finishing the regular season with a 27-14 league record. On Monday, they waited out the two wild card matchups and will welcome Chillicothe for a 7:00 PM start.

(KMAland) -- Eight area athletes have been named unanimous first-team all-conference by the Hawkeye Ten Conference following the completion of the baseball season. Clarinda’s Cole Baumgart and Creighton Tuzzio, Creston’s Cael Turner and Dylan Hoepker, Denison-Schleswig’s Jake Fink, Glenwood’s Kayden Anderson and Trent Patton and Lewis Central’s Aaron Kreps were all picked unanimously to the first team.
RAGBRAI Continues Today Through, Elliott, Griswold, Lewis With a Final Stop in Atlantic

Mudcats’ Season Ends As Clarinda Wins Via Run Rule in Divisional Championship
The Chillicothe Mudcats’ 2024 season came to a close on Tuesday night, as the Mudcats lost the MINK Divisional Championship game to the Clarinda A’s on the road, 12-2. The A’s used a six run sixth inning to seal the deal, as they advanced to their first MINK League Championship since 2013.
