On Thursday Morning, Bleacher Report's Maurice Moton previewed the 2024 NFL season by attempting to predict each team's record for the upcoming year.

For the Las Vegas Raiders , he decided on an 8-9 record.

In his analysis, they actually sum up the Raiders' roster pretty well. In short, they claim that the team's overall roster is actually very good and well-rounded , but the team is lacking the talent at quarterback to truly take them to the next level. They are still in the midst of a quarterback battle between Garnder Minshew and Aidan O'Connell, which is expected to be decided after their next preseason game.

They did however compliment the defense, pointing out that in 2023, the Raiders finished ninth in the league in total defense. The team was able to keep most of their unit intact while adding Christian Wilkins this offseason, so there are reasons to be excited about this unit in 2024.

Bleacher Report also mentions that Davante Adams and Brock Bowers should compliment each other pretty nicely in the passing game. With Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker looking good in camp, Las Vegas could have a very solid receiving core this season.

However, the problem lies with the quarterbacks, as B/R also mentions. If the Raiders truly want to compete for the playoffs in 2024, they'll need better performances from Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew than they've provided in the past.

Overall, the Raiders were predicted to finish third in the division. As expected, the Kansas City Chiefs were on top, predicted to have an 11-6 record. Behind them was the Los Angeles Chargers at 9-8, and last came the Denver Broncos at 6-11.
