DENVER (KDVR) — Police in Aurora are searching for a suspect after two people were shot, one while driving.

According to a preliminary report from the Aurora Police Department, the shooting happened near 19th Avenue and Dayton Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital.

Police said that a preliminary investigation suggests that the man was shot while he was driving driving on 19th Avenue between Dallas Street and Dayton Street.

Soon after, officers learned that another man took himself to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm. His injuries are not life-threatening, police said.

“As of now, investigators do not have any suspects identified, nor do they have a motive,” APD said.

Police are still working to find out what led up to the shooting and how those who got shot were involved. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to submit a tip to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers online or by calling 720-913-7867.
