Five-star cornerback Dorian Brew announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks on Saturday. He committed to the Ducks over Ohio State and Texas.

Brew, a 6-foot, 202-pound native of Conroe, Texas, is the No. 29 overall prospect in the class of 2025. He ranks as the No. 4 cornerback and No. 8 player in Texas, according to the On3 Industry Rankings .

On3's RPM projected Oregon to have less than a one percent chance of landing Brew's commitment. Ohio State was the heavy favorite, as Brew's mother, Dorian Merriman, was a sprinter for the Buckeyes from 1998-01 and is in the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame.

“From the jump, they made it known that I was a must-have for them,” Brew told On3's Hayes Fawcett . “Who doesn’t want to play for a defensive head coach as a DB? I also feel that I’m going to fit perfectly in their defense.”

Oregon is one of the hottest teams on the recruiting trail, as the Ducks have landed four Top 100 prospects in the past 48 hours. Brew is the 14th commitment in the 2025 class for the Ducks.

Following Brew's commitment, Oregon's 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 5 nationally and No. 2 in the Big Ten. The Ducks currently have two five-star commitments, headlined by wide receiver Dallas Wilson.

As Oregon continues adding to its talent-laden 2025 recruiting class, head coach Dan Lanning certainly has the skill to make the program a consistent national title contender in the Big Ten.
