Just Announced ''An Evening With Jon Stewart'' at The Mohegan Sun Arena in Montville

Comedian and Political Commentator Jon Stewart is coming to Connecticut! The long-time host of ''The Daily Show'' recently announced a series of stand-up comedy performances. He will perform live at the Mohegan Sun Area on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 8pm. The Mohegan Sun Arena is located at 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard Uncasville in Montville, Connecticut. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Friday, May 17, 2024 at 10 am at Ticketmaster.

Jon Stewart ia a multiple-Emmy award winner and is a New York City native. He started out as a stand-up comic but then decided to branch out into television. He was host of ''Short Attention Span Theater'' for Comedy Central. Jon Stewart went on to host two shows for MTV, 1992's ''You Wrote It, You Watch It'' for a year and 1993's ''The Jon Stewart Show'' for two years.

After being reimagined, The Jon Stewart Show eventually went into national syndication, after being dropped by the network. ''Stewart became host of The Daily Show in 1999, where he also was a writer and co-executive producer. ''Since he joined, The Daily Show steadily gained popularity and critical acclaim, and during his tenure won numerous Emmy Awards and was nominated for news and journalism awards,'' according to Wikipedia. He has also acted in movies including, ''Big Daddy'' in 1999 and ''Death To Smoochy'' in 2002.
