PLANO – A suspect is in police custody and has been charged with murder after a man was found dead Tuesday in Plano. Plano police and fire responded to the call at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday about a person who was dead, in the 4600 block of Bending Oak Trail in Plano. The man, 69-year-old Patrick King, was in the backyard of the home to which police were called, said Jennifer Chapman with the Plano Police Department. The suspect, 39-year-old Andrew James Swetland, was arrested at 5:30 a.m. at DFW International Airport and has been charged with murder. Swetland's sister is King's daughter-in-law, according to police. Plano PD said the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

Officials have not confirmed whether the attack was related to Chauvin’s relocation. Chauvin, who kneeled on Floyd’s neck as he struggled to breathe, is one of four Minneapolis officers convicted in the matter. Another, Thomas Lane, 41, was separately released from federal prison in Colorado on Tuesday.
