Cochranton fair music acts, parade details announced
The Cochranton Community Fair, set for August 6-10, will have a soft opening on August 5 due to a high number of performers. The entertainment lineup includes The Honky Tonk Twins, Julia Neville, Michael Christopher, November Blue, Brett Allen Morgan, and Morgan White, featuring a mix of gospel, country, and interactive performances. The fair is free and no tickets are required. The annual parade, themed “Communities that Flourish,” will take place at 6:30 p.m. on August 7, with a participant application deadline of July 15. Plans announced for Heritage Festival art show
The Oil City Arts Council will host its annual Oil Heritage Festival Art Show from Wednesday, July 24, to Sunday, July 28, at two locations: the National Transit Building at 206 Seneca St. for the adult art show and the Graffiti Gallery at 228 Seneca St. for the photography show. The children and young adult show will be held at both locations. Show hours are 6 to 9 p.m. on July 24, noon to 4 p.m. on July 25, and noon to 6 p.m. from July 26-28. Entries can be dropped off at the National Transit Building on Sunday, July 14, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Alternative arrangements can be made by contacting Christine Hollis. Registration includes a liability release and adherence to exhibit rules, with no entries accepted after 7 p.m. on July 14.
