Titusville majors Little League team takes District 1 crown
The 11 and 12 year old majors Little League team swept through the District 1 bracket with three straight wins. They started off with a hard fought 8-1 victory over the Triple C team of Cambridge Springs, Conneaut Lake and Conneaut Valley, followed by an 18-0 trouncing of a team made up of kids from the Commodore Perry, Lakeview and Jamestown area.

Taking a Monday off for a round of golf is a good thing, at least for high school students from Franklin Park looking for extra college funds. All the proceeds from Franklin Park’s 21st annual Community Scholarship Golf Outing, to be held July 29 at Shannopin Country Club in Ben Avon Heights and Ross Township, supports the Franklin Park Scholarship Fund.
