BORGER, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The City of Borger/Hutchinson County OEM informed residents that “intermittent periods of smoke” may be seen in the Borger area due to on-site fire training on Thursday morning at the Borger Complex.

The training, according to the city, will take place from around 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday with the smoke coming from facility training grounds, located at the north end of the property.

Officials with the city noted that the training smoke will occur away from the Borger Complex operational areas. MyHighPlains.com previously reported that two employees were injured due to a major fire on the Phillips 66 Borger Complex facility premises on Monday.
