PEA RIDGE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas approved a $210,000 grant to make Carr Street Park in Pea Ridge all-inclusive.

Pea Ridge Mayor Nathan See says as the city grows, it is important to have a park that allows everyone to come and play.

“This is the second time we’ve went for this grant. The first time, we weren’t appropriated the funds. And this time, we got $210,000. So, we’re really excited about this for our community and for the region,” See said.

The city hopes to start the project in about 60 to 90 days. See says the park should be completed and open to the public by the end of this year.
