    Man arrested after fleeing from police and crashing UTV

    MINERAL WELLS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested after fleeing from police and crashing a UTV while DUI.

    According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at approximately 2:12 pm Sgt. J.C. Edwards and Deputy J.W. Reeder was on patrol in the area of Pike Street Bypass in Mineral Wells when a UTV side-by-side was observed Speeding.

    Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle which failed to yield and fled onto Pettyville Road to Badgley Fork Road.

    Sgt. Edwards continued to pursue the vehicle until it crashed on Badgley Fork Road. The vehicle had a driver and a passenger, both uninjured in the crash.

    Sgt. Edwards arrested the driver, Jeffrey Allen Enoch 24, of Mineral Wells, for felonious Fleeing in a Vehicle While DUI, the passenger was not charged.

    Dep. Reeder during the pursuit struck a fence post damaging his cruiser but was not injured during the event.
