    Sheriff Deputies continue to search for man last seen near Yellow Creek

    Lowndes County deputies continue to search for a missing man last seen in the Yellow Creek area, accroding to a press release from the Lowndes County Sheriff.

    50-year-old Derek Gray has not been seen for about three weeks, according to authorities.

    Deputies first started searching on July 29th after receiving a 911 call for a woman who was asking for help. Gray and the woman had been living in the Yellow Creek area of Steens.

    Investigators have found some of Gray's belongings but no sign of him. Deputies have searched the creek with different pieces of technology.

    The family of Gray reported him missing on August 8th. The press release says it's unusual for him not to contact them. Gray is described as a white male, 5'04" tall and about 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
