There is never a dull moment in an Ole Miss football offseason. Head coach Lane Kiffin has seen numerous 2025 recruiting targets depart recently, so Ole Miss' most recent recruiting win should ease the nerves of the Rebel faithful.

On Saturday, four-star safety Major Preston announced that he will be attending Ole Miss for his collegiate career. The IMG Academy product held over 20 offers and chose the Rebels over Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Florida, Missouri, Colorado and Virginia Tech.

Preston checks in at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds and now becomes the fourth four-star prospect to commit to Ole Miss in the last 10 days. Preston joins DL Corey Adams Jr. , CB Cortez Thomas and WR Samari Reed as the latest commit in Ole Miss' 2025 class.

This recent recruiting run has been a breath of fresh air for Ole Miss fans who were sent in a panic after a handful of high-profile commits walked their decision back a little less than two weeks ago.

One thing will always ring true as long as Kiffin is in charge in Oxford: There is always a replacement available. Whether it be a transfer portal superstar or an impressive recruit in the high school ranks, Kiffin always seems to have his hands in multiple pots.

With Preston now in the picture Ole Miss currently ranks 26th in On3's Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings for the 2025 cycle. While Kiffin and Co. have appeared to right the ship, Ole Miss is still in the mix for a few highly coveted 2025 prospects who have yet to make a decision on where they will be playing college football.
