ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals got a majorly positive sign on Saturday, as they saw Nick Jensen and Rasmus Sandin joined the group for practice.

Both Jensen and Sandin took the ice in non-contact jerseys, while Sandin also got some individual skills work in before the team skate. Both had been skating individually on their own.

It marked the first time that both skated in a full practice since suffering respective upper-body injuries on hits in the final games of the regular season. Both of them skated on an extra pairing together.

Both will travel to New York and have not been ruled out for Sunday's game, per head coach Spencer Carbery.

Sandin was hurt back on April 7 against the Ottawa Senators after being hit up high by Parker Kelly.

Almost a week later on April 13 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Jensen was injured when he was hit into the boards by Michael Eyssimont. He had to be stretchered off the ice, but did not go to the hospital.

Neither played in any regular-season games after their respective injuries.

    Aliaksei Protas-Dylan Strome-Tom Wilson

    Beck Malenstyn-Nic Dowd-Nicolas Aube-Kubel

    Martin Fehervary-John Carlson

    Alex Alexeyev-Dylan McIlrath

    Trevor van Riemsdyk-Vincent Iorio
