32 indicted in Lewis County in July Grand Jury session

WESTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Lewis County’s July Grand Jury session convened on Monday, July 8 in Weston and returned 32 indictments, the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office said in a press release on Tuesday.
Among the indictments were Christopher Hamrick, 44, of Weston, and Timothy Ruble, 62, of Horner. The two were arrested back in October 2023 when members of the Mountain Region Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force searched a Lakeside Drive home in Horner and found meth in plain view and fentanyl in the toilet . Hamrick and Ruble were both indicted on one count each of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Steven Sears, 46, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count each of prohibited person in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver marijuana. He was arrested back in January when police were responding to a call that a person was “passed out” in a vehicle at Christine’s Hot Spot in Weston. The gun and drugs were found in the vehicle with Sears, according to a criminal complaint filed at the time.
