One teen killed, another hospitalized in Greenville shooting

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Two teenagers were shot, one fatally in a Saturday night shooting in Greenville.

According to the Greenville Police Department, at around 10:20 p.m., officers were called to a home on Mulberry Street for reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers found two teenagers with gunshot wounds.

The teens were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of the victims, a 16-year-old, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and Andre Udonus Nicholson, 17 was reported in critical condition, according to the police department.

According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Nicholson died from his injuries early Sunday morning.

Police said they have arrested Corey Russ, 18, who was present at the scene on a drug possession charge, though charges against Russ are expected to be upgraded.

The shooting remains under investigation.
