    Produce vouchers available for Clearfield County seniors

    CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Clearfield County seniors who have not already are being encouraged to apply for the Mature Resources Area Agency on Aging Farmers Market Vouchers.

    Seniors who are 60 years old or older or turn 60 before December 31, and meet the income requirements still have time to register for the vouchers. Seniors can register until September 13.

    Pennsylvania gas prices currently lowest since April

    Here’s who qualify:

    • People who do not live in nursing-home facilities, convents, or residential facilities where meals are served
    • Income limit for one: $27,861
    • Income limit for two: $37,814
    • Income limit for three: $47,767 for three people
    • Income means before deductions such as income tax, Social Security deductions, welfare payments, or any other source of income

    The program will provide seniors with five $10 vouchers to be used to purchase produce grown by Pennsylvania farmers.

    To register you must call the Farmers Market phone number, 814-765-2691, and you’ll then receive an application to fill out and return by mail.

    If you’re accepted vouchers will be sent to you and they must be used by Nov. 30.
