Man running from deputies faces felony charges

On Aug. 13, deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reckless driver on HWY 7 S.

A Deputy located the vehicle in question and initiated a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, the driver fled in his vehicle.

Deputies pursued the car until it came to a stop on Oxford Way. Deputies took the driver, Wesley Keith Moore, 33, of Oxford, into custody.

During the investigation, deputies also discovered Wesley to be under the influence and had several prior convictions for DUI. Wesley was transported to the detention center and given a $25,000 bond.
