NBA Fans Are Saying The Same Thing About Wizards' Alex Sarr Pick

    By Max Escarpio,

The Washington Wizards selected center Alexandre Sarr with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft. Sarr played with the Perth Wildcats in the NBL, YNG Dreamerz with the Overtime Elite, and his national team in France through various age groups. NBA fans reacted to the Wizards' pick, bowling up the social media with the same reactions.

Many fans are saying Sarr is the "best pick in the draft." The 7-foot center has incredible size, bringing length in all aspects with a 7'5" wingspan. He's a versatile player who knows how to run the floor and has unique fluidity for a player of that size.

Sarr was viewed as the No. 1 pick for quite some time, but the Frenchman canceled a workout with the Atlanta Hawks, who had the No. 1 selection, leaving him to drop in the hands of the Wizards.

Sarr continues to the French pipeline in the NBA, joining his former teammate Zacharie Risacher in the Top 5 of the draft, just after the San Antonio Spurs selected Victor Wembanyama with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft.

Fans may certainly be on the right side of their popular take in calling Sarr the best pick and potentially the biggest "steal" in the draft. He has an extremely high ceiling, and he'll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in the nation's capital.
