NFL Analyst Predicts Jayden Daniels Could Outshine Caleb Williams In Rookie Season

Jayden Daniels may have a better rookie season than Caleb Williams.

ESPN's Booger McFarland gave his bold prediction Thursday on Get Up .

“Don't be surprised if midway through the season, we're having a conversation [that]… the No. 2 pick, Jayden Daniels, looks better than the No. 1 pick Caleb Williams," McFarland said of the two QBs.

Daniels is certainly in the same regard as Williams entering their NFL careers. Both are Heisman winners, and have each proven themselves on the biggest stages in college football.

Though Williams was the unanimous top choice by the Chicago Bears in the 2024 NFL Draft, Daniels could be in a more stat-friendly situation with the Washington Commanders. He has an edge with his mobility, and the team will presumably give him the green light to take off out of the pocket for extra yardage. Time will tell.

Certainly, this adds more fuel to what was already destined to be a memorable Rookie of The Year race, and further amplifies football fans' excitement for the start of preseason where Daniels and Williams will likely make their anticipated debuts.
