    16-year-old arrested in connection to triple Southeast shooting that left 3 injured

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced that a 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to a triple shooting that happened in Southeast on Tuesday.

    On July 23, just after 2:30 p.m., officers were called to the 2900 block of Nelson Place to investigate a shooting. There, police located three women who had been shot.

    The victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    As a result of the investigation, police said the teen was charged with Assault with a Dangerous weapon(gun).

    As of Thursday morning, the details of what led to the shooting remain unclear.
