CR 2 closing near Paxton for bridge repair

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. ( WMBB ) — A traffic advisory for Walton County residents and visitors.

County Road 2 south of Paxton and just west of U.S. Highway 331 will be shut down at the Long Creek Bridge for repairs.

Crews put up signs on 331 for a short detour around the expected closure.

Walton County Public Works said they are installing a crutch bent, which will reinforce the current structure.

A detour is in place using Campground Rd. to go around the roadblock.  The county said the project will last 150 days.
